THE EVENING'S HOSTS

Two Friends, One Home:
Vito Doino & Arnaldo Lagala

The evening will be hosted by two individuals who share a deep personal friendship and a common heritage in the region of Lucania.

Arnaldo Lagala, the winemaker at Tenuta LAGALA, infuses his wines with the spirit of Basilicata. He is supported by his longtime friend Vito Doino, the former owner and founder of il Borgo Ristorante in Munich. Their bond has grown over the years—not only because their hometowns are geographically close, but also because they share a commitment to the highest quality.

For many of our regulars, this evening is the perfect opportunity to see the original “Patrone” again and raise a toast with him and Arnaldo to friendship, great food, and our well-established “Ricetta della Vita.”

ABOUT THE WINERY

Tenuta Lagala: The Soul of the Volcano in Venosa

In the shadow of the imposing Monte Vulture, in the historic surroundings of Venosa, the Lagala family has created a retreat that reflects the ancient spirit of Basilicata in every detail.

Today, Tenuta Lagala is far more than a traditional winery; it is the result of a deep connection to the volcanic terroir, guided by Arnaldo Lagala and his wife Angelica Tufariello with a modern, holistic vision. The foundation for the outstanding quality of their wines lies in the mineral-rich soil of dark tuff, which has stored the power of the ancient volcano and imparts a distinctive structure to the vines. The Aglianico grape, in particular, reaches its full potential here, producing wines of aristocratic depth, such as the flagship Nero degli Orsini, which, with its complexity and elegance, was quite rightly awarded the prestigious Tre Bicchieri by Gambero Rosso.
